Build on the basic skills you have learnt on previous diving courses to enhance your underwater natural and compass navigation skills in a safe, fun and controlled environment.
During your course you will learn: - Navigation patterns
- Natural navigation (without a compass)
- Compass navigation
- How to 'mark' or relocate a submerged object or position from the surface
- Underwater map making
- How to estimate distance underwater
In addition to the usual scuba diving equipment you use, you will be introduced to some accessories you may not have used before, such as slates, various compasses including the latest digital version. The course consists of some theory in the classroom and three open water dives in our diving lake. The lake attractions and their proximity to each other, as well as the varied bottom topography make Wraysbury an ideal location to progress and improve your navigation skills.
To take part in this course you must be a certified PADI Open Water or Junior Open Water diver (or hold an equivalent certification from another training agency) and be at least 10 years old.
Your course is run over a day and is £165 including all required equipment. Please don't hesitate to give us a call for dates.
